What You'll Do in This Position

Responsible for all aspects of site Quality Assurance Program and Performance Evaluations. Advise Senior Management on the status of a wide spectrum of QA requirements, corrective actions, and problem causality activities affecting the operations of site facilities. Plan and direct evaluations of site functional programming to promote continuous improvement in program guidance. Provide support to the Quality Services Section Manager for overall implementation of the company QA Program

- Lead the site effort to maintain and upgrade the Quality Assurance Program as specified in the Quality Assurance
Management Plan; the company Quality Assurance Policy; the QA functional area in S/RID; and the 1Q, Quality Assurance Manual.
-Serve as resource to senior management for interpretation and consultation regarding quality/technical requirements. -Establish, develop, train, and manage a highly qualified and effective staff, well versed in industry practices and the QA Program requirements.
-Lead and direct the site's Self Assessment, Causal Analysis, QA Training, QA Audit, QC Certification, and Corrective Action programs.
-Serve as a primary interface with external organizations regarding the QA program, self assessments, corrective action program issues.
-Provide Cognizant Quality Function support and guidance for Technical Quality Services, Environmental Safety & Health, Procurement & Materials Management, Information Technology, and Safeguards & Security (other organizations as appropriate).
- Provide company-level certification of SRS independent inspection personnel in mechanical, electrical, instrument and calibration, civil, and receiving inspection disciplines.
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert in all areas relating to quality assurance and provide site leadership and guidance for quality problem resolution.
- Provide site guidance on QA requirements for new mission activities.
- Select, coordinate, analyze and, report site QA Performance Indicators.
- Serve as the site site Liaison for Institute of Nuclear Power Operators (INPO) Nuclear Network and for DOE-HQ EH visits.
-Represent company on national committees, industry wide working groups and/or corporate task teams (ASME NQA-1, EFCOG, etc.).
- Support company Managers by assisting in the completion of site programmatic self-assessments and audits.
- Provide SRS input to help shape DOE/NNSA Policy and Standards regarding QA and Self-Assessment Program requirements, through membership and participation in DOE /NNSA Task Teams.
- Provide challenging developmental opportunities for assigned employees to contribute to their personal development and the site's success.

Security Clearance Information

SRNS is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, criminal records, and employment history, and education verifications. Positions with SRNS may require applicants to obtain and maintain a DOE L or Q-level security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
