Job Description
Quality Control Lab Intern - South Brunswick, NJ
It's an exciting time to be part of IFF's Flavor Quality Control team. In this position, you will assist with ensuring finished and raw materials are consistent with IFF specifications through sensory and/or analytical testing. As part of the Quality Control department, you will perform wet chemistry analyses based on standard operating procedures as well as sample preparation, data acquisition, data interpretation, and reporting in support of production.

- Calibrating and working with analytical equipment daily, including but not limited to: density meter, refractometer, pH meter, titratable acidity, spectrophotometer, moisture analyzer, KF tiitrator, chlorides titrator
- Preparing sensory evaluation lineups by dosing tasting solutions
- Retrieving sample retains for QC evaluations.
- Performing tests on finished and raw materials and reporting results
- Preparing samples, acquiring data, interpreting results
- Critically thinking and assisting with the investigation of internal and external non-conformances
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Required Skills:
- Working towards a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemistry or science related field
- Strong communication skills both written and verbal
- Knowledge of basic math and science
- Basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- Ability to multitask withtin the lab to efficiently maintain lab workflow
