Material Handler Pay: $22.75 per hour, eligible for overtime and bonus

Job Duties:

• Adhere to all safety and quality requirements while meeting or exceeding production service levels.
• Move material by forklift from storage or production areas to various work areas.
• Responsible for ensuring all material from production are sorted, verified and supplied to work stations.
• Removing materials are put in correct area for storage when not in use.
• Participate in Department safety, quality, and continuous improvement events on an as needed basis.
• Consistently wearing required PPE, such as safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toe shoes.

Basic Requirements:

• 18 years of age
• Ability to work overtime with short notice
• Ability to lift up to 100 pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time on concrete flooring.
• Work Environment: warehouse can be hot or cold depending on outside temp
• Fast-paced plant operations environment.

Preferred Requirements:

• Ability to read and interpret documents, including but not limited to safety rules, procedures manual and policy manual.
• Strong interpersonal communication skills to effectively interact with Department Supervisor, Lead, Coworkers and other personnel.
• Demonstrated ability to solve problems in a practical, methodical way while working with a sense of urgency.
• Able to read and follow a written set of procedures.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works near moving mechanical parts.
• The noise level in the work environment is moderate.
