Position Summary:
Assembler 1 is responsible for the assembly and test of Hillrom cardiology products per the written procedure and quality systems requirements
Position Responsibilities:
* Perform bench assembly, testing and packing on sub or finished unit assemblies according to assembly procedures (i.e. BOM, DHR, Work Instructions, etc.).
* Ensure use of most up to date procedures by using ERP system (SAP).
* Perform basic troubleshooting on assemblies which does not require a technician.
* Complete all appropriate forms and DHRs legibly and correctly for the assemblies they are working on following Good Documentation Practices (GDP).
* Cross train into multiple positions/products as directed by production supervisor
* Perform other tasks as assigned by Manufacturing Assembly Supervisor
* Adhere to the Quality System.
* Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in their work.
* Apply continuous improvement thinking by suggesting improvements for their work areas and job functions to reduce costs and lead time.
* Follow standard work (manufacturing procedures) as written.

Education and prior work experience

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare, apply coatings and inspect to achieve a consistent high quality finish with a verity of products and substrates.
Hang or handle product safely using a variety of hooks and carts for the painting process
Clean and prepare part surfaces as specified
Inspect parts prior to paint for needed repair, sand or body work if may be required
Mask parts and plug holes to print notes stating tight tolerances for overspray prevention
Mix paint, catalyst, reducers and additives per specification
Adjust paint and process parameters to account for atmospheric conditions (such as temperature and humidity) or coating irregularity to achieve the specified or expected quality finish.
Produce a high quality paint finish on a variety of materials
Inspect parts for defects, repair or repaint if required
Effectively manage time to ensure on-time delivery of every project
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and tools including painting, mixing equipment as well as booths and filtration.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
A high school diploma with experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
2+ years' experience with spray painting in an industrial setting a plus
Familiarity with industrial coatings is a plus
Ability to read blueprints
Ability to work independently as well as effectively as a team member
Adhere to ISO procedure qualifications
Strong sense of safety and following all safety procedures
Demonstrated organizational and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated ability to understand and follow through on verbal instructions is required
Excellent hand-eye coordination to consistently mask parts and plug holes for painting, along with the ability to accurately measure areas for masking to achieve desired results.
Consistently demonstrate sound safety practices, as well as the ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand on ladders, kneel, bend down, and stretch is required.
Physically able to wear protective equipment to on a regular basis is required.
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.

Blast parts/surfaces (steel, metal, etc.) using blast equipment and a variety of blast media (Aluminum Oxide and glass bead).
Clean and prepare part surfaces to prevent contamination of media

JOB OVERVIEW
This position will work in the deburring and de-nesting area of RMI, processing product to internal customers after they are produced at their internal cutting centers. They will also provide support to other shared service work centers to process product as safely, accurately, and efficiently as possible.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Remove metal parts from laser cut steel remnants.
Operate power grinders/tools, drill press, drills, belt sander, tapping table and other miscellaneous hand tools.
Perform basic metal fabrication tasks including deburring, tapping, and preparing metal parts for future fabrication steps.
Maintain clean equipment/tools and work area.
Safely operate a forklift, pallet jacks, and other product transporting equipment.
Operating overhead cranes in a safe manner for the movement of materials.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Ability to read and accurately use measuring tools
Ability to read basic blueprints
Must be able to accept work instruction and communicate effectively with others
Ability to work safely according to safety standards
