Job duties encompass a wide variety of activities to ensure that the preservation and repair of dies and molds, trim dies and fixtures for production are maintained.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Operate manual lathes, surface grinders, CNC, milling machines, welders, and other tool room equipment Use tool room measuring tools, micrometers, calipers, gauges, tape measures Troubleshooting basic repairs for common die casting issues: flash, broken ejector pins, stuck parts, bent and broken pins Read and understand blueprints and drawings Housekeeping and organization tasks as needed. Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, benefits, repair and maintenance Skill elements needed are product inspection, mathematics, and analysis. Strong organizational ability and attention to detail. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment. Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
