Staffmark is hiring a Welder in Houston, TX for our premier client. We are in search of individuals who are passionate about welding and eager to expand their skills in an environment that fosters growth and inclusivity. As a Welder, you will be responsible for utilizing various welding techniques to fabricate piping and structures. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with experienced professionals who are committed to supporting your success!
Pay: $26+ per hour (Depending on experience)
Schedule: 1st shift, must be open to working over 70 hours a week including weekends. Must be able to work offshore once perm.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience
- Must be able to pass 3G and 5G weld tests
- Must have experience in MIG, Flux core, and TIG welding
- Understanding of SMAW, GTAW, FCAW
- Trade Qualified Welder - Certificate Essential
- Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds
Essential Duties:
- Capable of welding using a range of techniques (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW as a minimum).
- Understanding WPSs and working to the set parameters.
- Assists fitters in setting up piping/structure according to engineering drawings.
- Ensuring high-quality welding is conducted on all fabrication work.
- Involved with daily morning toolbox meetings to ensure the day activities are clear and address any safety concerns/issues/topics.
- Involved in Offshore/Remote deployment work when needed.
