POSITION SUMMARY
The Nestlé Purina Support Center (NPSC) manufactures, repairs, inventories, and tests the equipment used to make pet products around the world, while protecting the proprietary nature of the fabrication of Nestlé Purina production equipment. The facility utilizes a modern machine shop, sheet metal and welding Fabrication Shop, which have allowed the site to build a sizable spare parts inventory to provide even faster service to NPPC Factories.
The welding team works to weld mechanical equipment and provides technical support globally by traveling on an as needed basis.
Primary Responsibilities:
Ability to produce quality welds in both appearance and penetration in TIG and MIG
Ability to pass all weld test after training when needed.
Ability to work with Class A and B Welders assisting in the fit up and finish welding of projects and follow directions given for task at hand.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints and weld symbols.
Ability to use Oxygen/Map Gas torch with supervision until proven proficient.
Ability to use Handheld Plasma cutter with supervision until proven proficient.
Ability to use Plate rolls with supervision until proven proficient.
Ability to use CNC Break Presses with supervision until proven proficient.
Ability to use Plate shear with supervision until proven proficient.
Requirements
Education: Associates Degree or Certificate in Welding
Experience: 2+ years experience welding on heavy equipment in a manufacturing, industrial, military, or related environment.
The pay progression plan is as follows: Welder C $32.74, Welder B $35.62, Welder A $38.22. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including, but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
