Overview and Responsibilities

Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Inventory Specialty Coordinator to join our Murray Operations Division. In this position, you are responsible for ensuring accurate entry, coordination and management of all warehouse physical activity with the Company's Warehouse and Patient Management systems. This position engages in a variety of warehouse and business transactions that are critical to the operation of the Murray Distribution Center including supporting the accurate and timely supply of products to the Company's patient base.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to lead and/or assist with projects as needed
  • Accurately and timely receive, enter and put away of all inventory receipts
  • Accurately process and document product returns as required
  • Assists in providing information necessary to process invoices for payment
  • Ensure transaction activity is reconciled between all applicable business systems
  • Functions as a lead, guide and trainer for staff/student employees, interns and/or volunteers performing related work
  • Has complete working knowledge of all inventory department responsibilities and can work all roles without supervision
  • Has responsibility for an area or areas of expertise and general working knowledge of all other areas
  • Maintain inventory system accuracy between physical quantities and Warehouse Management System (WMS) quantities
  • May participate in the recruitment of volunteers, as appropriate to the area of operation
  • Order, plan and print, inventory allocation and order audits
  • Perform physical inventory cycle counts and periodic physical inventory
  • Perform daily clerical duties, including data entry, answering telephones and assisting customers
  • Physical movement of products in the warehouse and ensuring an orderly and uninterrupted flow of products to the pick-pack-ship line
  • Prompt investigation and resolution of all on hand inventory issues, variances and transaction discrepancies
  • Purchase activities for stock and non-stock inventory to support business needs and avoid stock outs and back-orders
  • Recording all product movements in the Warehouse Management System (WMS) via bar code scanning devices and other data entry methods as needed
  • Work as a team to achieve daily warehouse management, accuracy and shipment goals
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Employment is contingent on

  • Background investigation (company-wide)
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver's license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Education and/or Experience

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Experience in medical field, distribution and inventory management preferred, but not required
  • Experience in inventory background preferred

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

  • Ability to reconcile stock counts to report data
  • Ability to understand the integrations and dependencies of the warehouse operations and processes with the Warehouse Management System
  • Accurately perform simple mathematical calculations
  • Database management skills
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team

Physical Demands

  • Accessing product using approved safety stairs
  • Clearly read small print on forms and product labels
  • Extensive walking and working on one's feet for extended periods of time
  • Lift and carry individual boxes
  • Manipulate pallets of products using a hand truck
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer / tablet and or paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking or listening

Machines, Equipment and Technical Abilities

  • Email transmission and communication
  • Handheld bar code scanner - manipulate the scanner and input the required data
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Microsoft applications; Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer / tablet
  • Operate select functions within the Warehouse Management System
  • Utilization of certain material handling equipment
