We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Systems Coordinator to manage the QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 standards. The ideal candidate will have an Associate of Arts degree in a relevant technical discipline, a minimum of five (5) years of QA experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. The preferred candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience with ISO or AS 9100 based systems.

Requirements:
  • Coordinate activities of records completion, review, filing, and reporting, developing and giving user training, analyzing for improvements for selected Quality Assurance Systems such as:
  • Internal Audits
  • Supplier Survey Audits
  • Document Control
  • Inspection Records
  • Controlled Change Notice (CCN)
  • Quality Plan Deviation
  • Non-conforming Product Review (NPR)
  • Gage Management (Calibration)System
  • Corrective and Preventive Action (CAR/PAR)
  • Manage and maintain Quality SharePoint site including updates for monthly, quarterly, and yearly review
  • Responsible for implementing and enhancing standards and procedures for compliance with ISO 9001, AS 9100, and other industry standards
  • Prepare and present periodic reports on the effectiveness of Quality Systems
  • Represent Wagstaff and the quality assurance team when interacting with auditors, customers, suppliers and visitors
  • Analyze Quality Assurance Systems for improvements
  • Participate in the testing of system modifications and implementation
  • Document and report software defects
  • Manage and maintain Quality SharePoint site including updates for monthly, quarterly, and yearly review
  • Participate in problem solving teams and defect analysis
  • Cross train with other team members
  • Audit existing quality system processes in the context of executing specific projects and orders
  • Maintain team documentation and records
  • Abide by company policies
  • In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required
  • Inspect, audit, and report on materials, services, processes, and products using measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company's quality standards
  • Participate as an auditor in the internal auditing program
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Associate of Arts degree in a relevant technical discipline, a minimum of five (5) years of QA experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience of ISO or AS 9100 quality based systems
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and AS 9100 standards
  • General knowledge of management system auditing practices
  • Periodic vision assessment to meet aerospace standards
  • Ability to read, understand and interpret prints/drawings and other technical documents that describe the system and processes
  • Good organizational skills
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Proficient in the use of applicable business software

Working Environment


While performing the duties of this job, work is performed primarily in an adequately lit, well ventilated, climate controlled general office environment. Close computer work is regularly required. The work usually involves minimal physical exertion. The noise level in the general office environment is usually moderate.

This job may require occasional or more frequent interaction with employees on the manufacturing shop floor. While on the shop floor, the employee may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, risks of moving equipment and parts, and other risks associated with a manufacturing environment. Because of this environment and associated risks, coordination with shop floor managers/employees may be necessary before entering the shop floor, and use of job appropriate personal protective equipment and clothing is required on the shop floor. The noise level on the shop floor is often loud.
