Job Description/Responsibilities









The Barrel Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for providing supervision to the barrel warehouse operation according to the standards set by federal, state and local agencies and company policy; coordinates necessary maintenance actions to maintain production; handles entry, regauge, and other barrel movements as directed by manager; responsible for solving production related problems, and directs union personnel to meet department needs in a safe and efficient manner.

    Be a safety leader through actions in the barrel warehouse department. Assist in the team's involvement in the safety programs, ensuring adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
  • Manage daily barrel and liquid movement through tracking systems (ERP, Microsoft Excel) inventory management, cycle counting, and directing Personnel.
  • Manage and continuously improve cycle counting methods for barrel and liquid inventory through system implementation and working with operators.
  • Work directly with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and alleviate operational issues.
  • Facilitate the Single Barrel Program through leading tastings and barrel management.
  • Continuously improve the department's capabilities with self-identified projects.
  • Through personal example and direct management, create an environment that supports self-directed work teams and productive employee relations while maintaining compliance with collective bargaining agreements.
  • Develop and maintain the relationships with our current customers. Maintain the current market pricing and demand for used barrels. Coordinate & lead national/international barrel transportation requirements.
  • Work closely with the barrel warehouse manager to improve a work-related skill(s), which will lead to my improved performance, benefit my professional growth as well as the company's success. Enforce company Work Rules & Policies while maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Ensure & prioritize whiskey quality is at the maximum standard through quality management systems and understanding variables effecting product quality.














Qualifications/Requirements









  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an org
  • Excellent oral & written communication skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Working knowledge of PC's, LAN's and WAN's

PREFERRED

  • 3-5 years relevant experience (minimum)
