Description
*Primary Talent Partners has a 12 month contract opening for a Mechanical Engineer to join a multinational medical device company for an onsite position in Santa Rosa, CA. *
*Pay:* $35.00/hr - $45/hr (based on experience)
*Contract: *12 months, extensions likely, conversion possible.
*Summary:*
We are looking for a mechanical engineer to work on a catheter development program. The successful candidate should have a BS in mechanical engineering (or MS). They should have capability to develop test methods, define specifications and conduct component development requirements while having a strong understanding of system and component level requirements.
*Responsibilities:*
* Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development.
* Develop test methods, define specifications, and conduct component development requirements.
* Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise.
* May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials.
* Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
*Required Qualifications:*
* Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering
* We need 4-5 years of experience
* Delivery system and component design experience
* Capability in SolidWorks
* Strong mechanical aptitude.
*Preferred Qualifications:*
* Experience with medical devices sterilization methods (i.e., ethylene oxide, radiation, etc.)
* Experience implementing appropriate risk mitigation actions with knowledge of packaging or process and process Risk Management as per FDA & ISO standards.
* Six Sigma/ Design for Six Sigma experience, and/or knowledge of Process Excellence tools.
* Working knowledge of SolidWorks or other packaging CAD programs (i.e., TOPS, SolidWorks, CREO, etc.).
* Experience with Minitab or other statistical software.
