Requirements | Familiar with methods, practices, and tools in a steel fabrication shop, understanding of basic rigging, hoisting, and lifting techniques, and the ability to lift/handle 50 pounds

1st or 2nd Shift | Pay: $17 - $18 per hour

Welder Apprentice Job Description

• Lift raw materials and finished products either manually or with hoists, forklifts, hand trucks, or powered lifts.
• Separating products based on various factors like weight, grade, size, or composition.
• Safely operate machinery used in fabrication.
• Assist machine operators, grind welds, chip weld splatter, and perform minor equipment repairs as needed.
• Assist production workers by supplying materials, cleaning work areas, using a tape measure accurately, counting finished products, and marking identification on raw materials.
• General maintenance duties for the shop, yard, and equipment.
