HOURS
Currently hiring for 11:00pm - 7:00am shift, Monday - Friday, last shift ending Saturday morning at 7:00am. Overtime as needed.
LAMINATING TECH/WAGE SCALE (wages include $1.50 night shift differential)
Laminating Tech I $19.50
Laminating Tech II $20.50
Continued rate increases as you learn additional skills.
JOB DUTIES
- Prepares work to be accomplished by reviewing job information; assembling materials.
- Prepares materials for use in laminating by continuously monitoring the condition and gloss levels of laminating plates; cleaning plates when press time allows; mixing resin, using required personal protective equipment.
- Establishes quality by producing both high and low pressure laminates to customer specifications for all production presses; fulfilling laminating needs of Technical Services, Custom print and Marketing.
- Maintains production and quality by following standard operating procedures in mixing resin, operating ovens, and operating high and low pressure laminating equipment; reporting needed changes; developing improved methods of laminating to reduce time and/or cost.
- Ensures operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
- Maintains supplies inventory by organizing materials; maintaining sufficient supplies in stock; operating lift trucks to transport materials.
- Maintains clean work area by keeping area in high standard of cleanliness shift to shift.
- Contributes to team effort by assisting Lab with laminating when needed; accomplishing related tasks and other duties as needed.
- Maintains safe working environment by always complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Demonstrates a good attitude toward work and arrives on time for start of shift.
- Follows instructions and demonstrates strong attention to detail.
- Communicates well with others.
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment.
PREFERRED
- Mechanical aptitude.
- Completion of vocational training in machine shop.
- Previous work experience in same or similar field.
