A privately held Canadian Company, we are a successful supply chain partner providing “Intelligent Delivery” of products and solutions to the Industrial, Environmental, and Plastics industries. We currently operate two manufacturing sites in Colborne and Elmira, Ontario, and have supporting warehouses and sales representatives across Canada and in the Northeastern United States.
CCC requires Extruder Operators because we are continuing to grow at our Colborne facility
Primary responsibilities:
* Continuously monitoring mixer and extruder controls
* Setting barrel, die-screw cooling temps for maximum quality run
* Cleaning mixer prior to loading verified mix; cleaning extruder and prepare for mix
* Dumping flow bins for transport to extruder
* Extruding product and record data at intervals
* Weighing and packaging product; recording weights on run sheet
* Continuous standing/climbing stairs while running extruder
* Performing minor maintenance to prepare line
* Operating a forklift to transfer product from production area to warehouse
* Maintaining a clean work/production area
* Attending safety meetings
* Commitment to CCC’s excellent attendance standards
Background Required:
* High School Diploma
* Forklift certification
* Experience working in a production environment; experience in a chemical distribution or plastics manufacturing environment would be preferred
* Basic computer knowledge and mathematical skills
* Ability to follow detailed mixing instructions and technical procedures
* Must be able to work a weekly rotating continental shift schedule
* Must be able to lift 25 kg. packages
