We are seeking applicants for a Manufacturing Converting Lead Person position in our Olive Branch, MS facility located at 8489 Summit Cove, Olive Branch, MS 38654


The Manufacturing Converting Lead Person is responsible for all activities associated with directing workflow. Responsible for all machines and personnel.


Pay Rate:


$27.47 per hour



Shift:


1st Shift: 6:00am - 2:00 pm



Competitive Benefits:


Overtime is paid at 1.5 times base rate in excess of 40 hours per week.


Vacation earned after 90 days and 11 paid holidays.

Responsibilities:


Maintain quality, efficiencies, and production levels set by management and communicate these standards to the crews.


Report safety, production, and quality concerns to Management.


Keep Production Manager informed regarding problems or situations that may affect the overall production operation of the plant.


Monitor and/or assures that each product is being manufactured according to quality standards.


Identify and quarantine nonconforming product.


Make recommendations and assist in planning, methods, machinery, safety programs and standards.


Maintain excellent working conditions, a safe work environment, and high morale within the plant.


Follow all SOPs in production for Safety, Quality and manufacturing process.


Able to perform load counts, calculations, total pieces for an order including possible overrun.


Train and monitor employees' adherence to all production processes and quality inspections per written work instructions.


Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple requests simultaneously.


Be available to operate the machines when needed to promote continuous run and fill in if needed.


Assist crews to achieve the highest quality product with most efficient process.


Notifies maintenance department of any repairs or preventive maintenance that needs to be done in the machines.


Maintains a neat working area with good product flow.


Ability to work overtime and weekends on short notice.


Ability to work in manufacturing environment, with varying temperatures based on season, around machinery, and heavy forklift traffic.


Use best professional manner when communicating with employees, supervisors or managers.


Communicate all findings to your supervisor and/or manager.


Comply with all company policies and procedures.


Additional duties may be assigned by management.



Basic Qualifications:


High School Graduate or GED.


2+ years' work experience as a Lead Person in converting/fabricating.


Basic computer skills.


Must be authorized to work in the U.S.



Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:


Ability to sit, stoop climb and bend.


Ability to work independently and within a team, effectively communicating with members.
