Job Description:
- Ability to build complex mechanical assemblies
- Experience with mechanical assemblies or manufacturing processes
- Good computer skills required to program tablets and motor assemblies
- Ability to read and interpret engineering work instructions, drawings, or schematics to perform work duties
- Work under direct supervision using a prescribed set of processes and procedures
- Work directly with engineers to support production line goals
- imizing processes on a Lean production environment with a continuous improvement mindset
- Lean basics training in LMS will be required after joining the team
- Good communication skills to support GEMBA on Safety, quality, deliveries, improvements and 5S+1 activities
- Communicates with leadership on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach agreement
- Positive attitude, openness to new ideas, willingness to learn new tools, and a strong motivation to positively impact the performance and work experience of the team
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics
- Occasional weekend, off-shift, and overtime work
- Capability of performing mechanical work and have computers skills
- Ablility to work with different chemicals (Epoxy, threadlockers and silicone material)
- Capability to lift up to 35lbs of weight to workbench
Qualifications:
- Requires developing job knowledge/skills. Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-Secondary/Associates Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
- Experience in a production manufacturing environment
Preferred Additional Skills:
- MES and PLM applications experience
- Lean culture and 5S+1 experience
