Internally known as a Batch Management Analyst, the IT Production Control Analyst is a member of the Managed Services Operations team whose primary function is to provide daily batch management/job scheduling support, database monitoring, and workflow management. This customer facing Analyst role is responsible for monitoring overnight database jobs and file transfers, ensuring all processes are occurring on time, and quickly escalating any issues or delays to the appropriate resources.
This is a second-shift overnight role (4pm-1am) as part of the 24x7 Batch Management Team.

Responsibilities

  • In-depth knowledge of the overnight batch management process
  • Complete the overnight checklist daily recording all file transfer and database job activity
  • Run basic SQL queries to proactively monitor and record database job status
  • Launch batch scripts and monitor status
  • Send overnight progress status emails throughout the shift
  • Escalate and engage the proper resources for any process delays or issues
  • Modify batch checklists and other documentation as required
  • Identify gaps in process and procedure and suggest improvement opportunities
  • Represent AHEAD in a professional manner in all forms of communication with the customer
  • Ensure that daily issues of a complex scope receive the urgency and escalation necessary to support the overall business and customer support objectives
  • Other tasks maybe required as associated to this role

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of batch management/job scheduling experience within an Operations environment required
  • ITIL v4 Foundation certification, preferred
  • Strong knowledge of ticketing system software with awareness of ITIL process, ServiceNow experience preferred
  • Security compliance experience (PCI, ISO 27001 or SOX), helpful
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Hands-on work experience with the following:
  • Job Scheduling or batch management processing system experience using such tools as MoveIT, ControlM etc, required
  • Remote desktop connectivity (RDP)
  • Internet browsers (Edge, Chrome, Firefox)
  • VPN and remote dial-in users
  • Multi-factor authentication, soft tokens
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and individual personal development
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities
  • Possess strong verbal and written communication skills; be adept at communicating with all levels of technical and non-technical people
  • Respect and safeguard confidential information as required
  • Affinity for and successful experience with small to medium size business environments
  • Ability to adapt and thrive in a constantly changing work environment
  • Must be able to balance tasks back-to-back against specific timeframes
  • Great organizational skills

Certifications

  • One of the following certifications is preferred:
  • CCENT
  • CompTIA A+ / CompTIA Network+
