Where You'll Work
This position is based in our Lenexa, Kansas office. We leverage a hybrid working model working three days in the office, two days optional remote work.


What You'll Do
The Recruiting Specialist is responsible for leading the full-cycle recruitment process, ensuring a positive candidate experience. Core responsibilities include posting jobs, sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, supporting onboarding, and supporting the HR team with various administrative tasks/projects.



  • Efficiently manage the talent acquisition process including developing individual recruiting strategies in partnership with hiring managers.

  • Promote CHA's employer brand and proactively developing a pipeline of diverse candidates through participation in job fairs, cultivating relationships with schools or professional associations.

  • Create new and engaging content to be shared on LinkedIn to promote positions, engaging with current employees to increase visibility.

  • Facilitates and manages interview logistics including scheduling, conducting phone and virtual interviews, coordinating travel arrangements and coordination between candidates and the hiring manager.

  • Cultivates relationships with area employment agencies, colleges, and industry associations to recruit high-quality candidates with desired skills and qualifications.

  • Manage department requests and recruiting process for Contractor / Temporary employees.

  • Assists in maintaining personnel files.

  • Manage HR inbox, ensuring timely response times.

  • Support Learning & Development through Learning Management System (LMS) administration, tracking attendance and completion and creating/distributing deliverables for sessions.

  • Support various team projects and needs, as assigned.




Experience and Skills


What You'll Bring to CHA
Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge is qualifying.



  • Bachelor's degree in HR, business, or a related field.

  • 3-5 years of human resources experience, with a preference for recruiting experience.

  • Strong computer skills, specifically experience using an Applicant Tracking System and/or HRIS and the Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Understanding of human resource principles, compliance, practices, and procedures.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and a passion for delivering exceptional service.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

  • Excellent organizational skills, ability to prioritize effectively, and manage multiple tasks in an environment with competing demands.

  • Ability to travel by car or plane 5%
