Our facility is looking for a caring and compassionate Nurse Manager who is inspired to treat our residents like family. Our skilled nursing facilities are more than a nursing home, we are HOME! The overall purpose of the Nurse Manager position is to participate in and oversee the assurance of the provision of resident care services consistent with accepted standards of care and assigns duties to Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and/or Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA) as appropriate.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*

* Effectively assist in managing the nursing department related to residents, employees, visitors, and the public.
* Assist with ensuring nursing staff is providing quality and appropriate resident care that meets or exceeds company and regulatory standards.
* Recognize and respond to the nursing and health care of residents.
* Assist with dressing changes and wound care management
* Inform physicians of changes to a patient’s condition and provide new notes or changes in a patient’s advancement.
* Assist in scheduling and perform resident rounds to monitor and evaluate the quality and appropriateness of nursing care, specifically related to wound care.
* Oversight of wound management program including the changing of dressings and care for wounds
* Make prompt and accurate nursing assessments, care, and management judgments.
* Perform the essential functions of the job in a manner, which benefits residents of the facility and complies with business necessity without causing undue hardship.
* Assist with overseeing the provision of appropriate medications, treatments, and general nursing services according to the resident’s care plan and physician directed orders.
* Assist in maintaining administrative authority, responsibility and accountability for the proper charting and documentation of care and of medications and treatments.
* Assist in ensuring all required records are maintained and submitted, as appropriate, in an accurate and timely manner.
* Assist in evaluating current and potential residents and patients to ensure facility can provide appropriate level of care.
* Assist in maintaining regular and ongoing communication with facility Medical Director ensuring programs and care services meet the needs of residents.
* Assist in completing required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

* A current, valid Illinois Registered Nurse license is required.
* Experience in long-term care, acute care, or geriatric nursing preferred
