Description
*Providence Care *is currently searching for an exceptional Registered Nurse leader for our *Clinical Nurse Manager opening *overseeing our hospice clinical team in the field for our growing *Rock Hill, SC* hospice office!
The Clinical Nurse Manager works as part of the clinical management team in facilitating communication and providing leadership to the clinical staff. Assists in the coordination of the referral through the admission process to ensure that all eligible patients who choose hospice are admitted and ensure patients and families receive high-quality, cost-effective care.
*Responsibilities:*
* Analyzes and evaluates staffing and assigns and directs staffing changes based on independent judgment.
* Supervises the day-to-day clinical activities and employees ensuring continuity, and high-quality, cost-effective care, including, but not limited to, ensuring compliance company policies and procedures, implementing corrective and/or disciplinary actions, and adjusting schedules, as appropriate. Delegates within the scope of practice.
* Acts as clinical and administrative resource for staff.
* Applies effective principles of leadership in coordinating the activities of the staff and promoting good working relationships among all members of the team.
* Assists in the processing of new admissions.
* Promotes patient, family and staff satisfaction through interactions and ability to facilitate solutions.
* Participates in the development and education of staff related to aspects of patient safety and the safe and effective use of equipment and technology.
* Ensures an atmosphere and attitude of service, kindness and compassion in all company relationships and activities.
* Coordinates transitions and placement of hospice eligible patients.
* Triages patient care requests/concerns, assigns staff to address, and ensures visits are made as needed.
* Advanced knowledge and utilization of the electronic medical record (EMR). Provides leadership and support for staff related to EMR.
* Participates in rotating holiday, on-call coverage, and attends supervisory meetings.
* Completes employee evaluations in a timely manner.
*Skills*
* At least two years of field experience as a hospice case manager required
* One year of management experience required
* Unencumbered RN license in the state of South Carolina or multi-state license
* Ability to promote and foster team atmosphere
* Leadership skills to facilitate appropriate direction and supervision of staff
* Comfortable dealing with conflict and staff changes
* Self confident and driven with an ability to establish direction and work with minimal guidance and support
* Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
* Willingness to keep abreast of changing standards in nursing administration
* Excellent ability to lead and develop personnel
* Great communication and people skills
* Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
* Aptitude in problem-solving
* Degree in nursing; Bachelors degree in nursing preferred
* Valid nursing and CPR certification
