Buffalo News Names Sealing Devices Inc. A Winner Of The Metro Buffalo Top Workplaces 2024 AwardStatement of Work:
- Complete all daily purchasing call to actions prompted from reporting systems and emails.
- Work with Sourcing Specialists to source raw materials/finished goods to satisfy end user requirements effectively.
- Build relationships with suppliers to negotiate with them for the best pricing, payment, and shipping terms.
- Process all dropship requests daily.
- Manage retrieval and updates of vendor certifications.
- Proactively communicate order status updates cross departmentally through Oracle/ERP systems.
- Purchase all MRO and office supplies.
- Communicate with Purchasing Supervisor and Manager and Sales and Marketing personnel regarding price and availability changes occurring in the supply chain.
- Follow departmental procedures and work instructions as written and recommend improvements as necessary.
- Perform any other task/activity assigned by the supervisor and manager within the scope of the purchasing system.
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, guidelines, and regulatory requirements per Sealing Devices Quality Systems.
- Responsible for exhibiting Sealing Devices SCORE values in all daily work activities.
What You'll Need to Succeed:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school) preferred.
- Oracle/ERP experience preferred.
- Minimum of 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a purchasing/buying function.
- Ability to understand moderately complex needs of customer orders in conjunction with supplier guidelines and Sealing Device's capabilities.
- Other Requirements: This position utilizes Microsoft Office, various databases, and industry-specific software. Ability to adapt to new programs as required. Ability to build relationships and communicate effectively with others.
Salary ranges for this position are determined based upon the job location and can be adjusted based upon experience, reflecting our commitment to valuing the expertise and contributions of our individual team members. Salary range for this role is $20.00 - $24.00 per hour.
