Position Summary: the RN is responsible for performing a wide variety of patient care duties which include:
- Assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.
- Interviewing patients, measuring vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), venipuncture and procedure as directed by the physician.
- Documentation is recorded in the Electronic Medical Record in accordance with IPM guideline.
- Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Assists in covering the front desk as required.
- Executes prescribed treatments and medical interventions, administers prescribed medications, and monitors and documents treatment progress and patient response.
- Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act.
- Refers to/consults with physicians, other health providers, and community resources to prevent/resolve problems or concerns.
- Educates patients and families about health status, health maintenance, and management of acute and chronic conditions.

Qualifications
Required Knowledge, Skills, Licensure, Training & Travel Requirements (if applicable):
- RN - Completion of nursing training from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of two (2) years college or Associate's Degree. BSN preferred.
- Current state registered nurse license
- Current BLS/CPR certification required
Minimum of one to three (1-3) years working as a Registered Nurse required. Three to five (3-5) years of related experience (preferred). - General office procedures
- Proficiency in basic computer programs and operating systems, such as Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
- Office equipment such as fax machine, copier and telephone system, EKG machine,. Computer
