Race Winning Brands (RWB) is an accumulation of independent businesses, each with market-leading brand recognition, that sells primarily pistons and other engine-related components into the Automotive and Powersports markets (high-performance racing, motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles, snowmobiles, personal watercraft, etc.). The companies are market leaders in manufacturing highly engineered engine components in their respective fields. RWB's customer base runs the gamut from recreation to the very highest levels of professional racing, in every facet of the Automotive and Powersports Industries. The products supplied are forged and cast pistons, connecting rods, crankshafts and their complementary components, piston rings, bearings, gaskets, camshafts, and other internal valve train and engine components. Other products include suspension, braking, clutching, and chassis components.


RWB is seeking a passionate and analytical corporate EHS + ESG/Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Mentor, Ohio! In this full-time role, you will significantly advance our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives, influencing our company's trajectory. This role will be under the EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) team and be situated within the manufacturing facility in an office on the manufacturing floor, ensuring direct oversight and accessibility to operational processes and personnel.


Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) is the Foundation of ESG

Strong ESG practices begin with a solid foundation in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS). This role offers the opportunity to bridge these two critical areas and develop and implement impactful ESG programs beyond compliance, aiming for a positive and sustainable future for our company and the environment.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Collect, analyze, and manage data for mandatory and voluntary reporting assessment tools and calculating carbon footprint.
  • Develop and implement innovative ESG programs focused on waste reduction, energy efficiency, and achieving ISO 14001/45001 compliance.
  • Compile and analyze safety data, including incidents, TRIR (Total Recordable Incident Rate), DART (Days Away, Restricted Duty or Transfer Cases), near-miss occurrences, and safety observations.
  • Prepare comprehensive management reports for board meetings, clearly communicating key ESG metrics and progress.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, capture, and enhance relevant ESG data points across the organization.
  • Responsible for assisting in EHS strategic planning to help move the organization forward.
  • Travel occasionally nationwide (approximately 15%) to conduct audits and training to establish and implement impactful ESG initiatives across various sites.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated passion for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) and ESG principles, with a strong willingness to learn and grow.
  • Bachelor's degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related field (preferred).
  • 1-4 years of experience in a safety (EHS), sustainability, or ESG-focused role (preferred).
  • Highly organized self-starter who can work independently and collaborate with diverse internal stakeholders to provide critical input.
  • Demonstrated experience in data analysis, reporting, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
  • Experience with ISO 14001/45001 standards is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel occasionally (approximately 15%)
  • Interest in racing and the automotive industry is a plus.
