Overview

The work location for this position is full remote with occasional time onsite, however the selected candidate must live and work from one of the New England states (ME, NH, VT, MA, RI, CT)

The Project Manager III, Commercial Alliances supports development efforts related to direct-to-employer and other commercial collaborations. This role assists in the execution and coordination of partnerships with employers, payers and other commercial relationships.

Responsibilities include identifying and growing new relationships, support the development of appropriate programs and services for partners, and managing the day to day operations of established partnerships. This individual works closely with the directors, managers and clinical leaders to identify and implement growth opportunities and ensure positive and cooperative business interactions with key stakeholders and partners.

The position is also responsible for supporting the growth and expansion of these relationships to help realize the full clinical and business potential of each partnership.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development and execution of DFCI's direct-to-employer strategy
  • Support in the development of proactive outreach strategies to employers, third party administrators, brokers, benefits managers, commercial consortia and other organizations in strategic collaborations
  • Support relationships with new and existing partners, including the development of productive and positive relationships with key stakeholders at partner organizations
  • Help research growth opportunities and participate in the design of affiliation models to ensure that they are positioned for success
  • Coordinate support services to further develop relationships, including assisting in the development and implementation of strategy for ongoing roll-out of new initiatives and programs to partner sites in collaboration with DFCI physician leaders and department contacts; work with sites to explore opportunities for further program enhancements
  • Research market trends and demand amongst employers and consumers
  • Support leadership in developing business cases for relationships and solutions focused on growth
  • Works collaboratively with cross-functional and cross-institutional teams (including operations, finance, nursing, pharmacy, medical oncology, quality/patient safety, social work and palliative care) to develop project plans and inform project implementation
  • Conduct ad hoc research and due diligence relating to new partnerships and product opportunities
  • On an ongoing basis, monitor the success of relationships based on define KPIs, milestones and partner feedback, ensuring that DFCI's Solutions continue to perform against stakeholder needs and expectations
  • Develops meeting materials (e.g., agendas, presentations) and other written materials (e.g., business plans.) for senior leadership

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree (MBA, MPH, MPA, MHA) preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years work experience within healthcare, operations, or consulting
  • Possess a strong understanding of employee benefits and the employer health care/benefit landscape
  • Experience developing, executing and managing complex programs with both internal and external stakeholders within matrixed organizations, as well as multi-institutional relationships and complexities
  • Possess a strong understanding of employee benefits and the employer health care/benefit landscape

  • Strong client orientation and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work closely and effectively as a member of a team and with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to analyze contracts and business intelligence data

Will be required to attend offsite and onsite events 15% of the time.
