*Work Schedule:*
100% FTE, Mainly days with rotating nights and weekends (10-12 hour shifts). Includes additional compensation for night and weekend hours. You may be eligible for up to $10,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI.

Come provide care to adults with serious neurological illnesses in our Neuroscience ICU. At UW Health – an academic medical center and Joint Commission accredited Comprehensive Stroke Program – you will treat the most complex stroke cases in the state.
We are seeking a *Nurse Practitioner *or *Physician Assistant *:

* Collaborate with faculty, residents, fellows, surgeons, and nursing staff to provide on-going patient care and management.
* Partner with a larger team including Neurosurgery, Neurocritical Care and Neurology to provide medical and perioperative care during critical illness.
* Perform routine clinical procedures independently as outlined in practice agreements/scope of practice.
* Advanced practice providers with experience or an interest in Neuroscience ICU (NSICU), acute care, neuro critical care, surgical ICU, and medical ICU would succeed on this team.

*Education **:*
Minimum –
*If Nurse Practitioner:*
Master’s or Doctorate’s degree from accredited Nursing Program.
*If Physician Assistant:*
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from accredited PA Program.
*Licenses and Certifications **:*
Minimum -
*If Nurse Practitioner: *Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin AND active board certification as a NP in Acute Care only (Adult or Adult/Gerontology will be considered only if previous ICU experience).
*If Physician Assistant: *Active PA license in State of Wisconsin AND active PA board certification.
*All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have: *Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire.
