Job Description

The analyst focuses on the application, database, environment, user experience, and sub-system performance of these clinical applications.

Consults with clinical end users to identify current operating procedures and to clarify program objectives.

Writes and/or reviews manuals for users to describe systems procedures as they relate to department’s operations.

Works on moderately complex projects requiring understanding of imaging clinical applications to define project requirements and performs data collection and analysis.

Reviews, analyzes, and modifies the imaging systems including configuration, testing, debugging, modification, activation, on-going support and installation of new applications.

May need to travel between campuses to perform duties.

Participates in rotating standby support of imaging systems.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information / Computer science, business / Public health administration, healthcare or other related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

At least three years of experience in the following is required:

Supporting a Radiology Information System (RIS), Radiology Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) Cardiology PACS or Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA) in a radiology office or other medical facility.

Coordination of IT implementation projects/applications.

Radiology workflow such as RIS, PACS, or EMR/EHR.

Knowledge of medical modalities, human anatomy and exams conducted in a radiology department, image transmission and DICOM Modality worklist. General knowledge of typical integrated (HL7) Clinical Applications environments. Demonstrated analytical/problem solving skills and abilities. Demonstrated organizational skills. Project coordination/management experience preferred. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) Experience with the following computer applications is preferred: Change Healthcare Radiology PACS, Change Healthcare Cardiology PACS, Vital Imagines Vitrea, eUnity Enterprise Viewer, Mach7 Vendor Neutral Archive, Ambra Image Sharing, 3Mensio, e2c NMIS, GE Invenia ABUS, GE Viewpoint, Nihon Kohden Neuro workbench, Provation MD, Bayer Radimetrics, Telexy Q-Path, Volpara

License/Certification/Registration Requirements

Valid California driver’s license and proof of insurance.

$58.84 - $88.26 USD Hourly
