*RN Correctional Nurse needed in Canton , IL*
*Contract : 13 weeks*
*shift : 8hrs Eevnings / Nights*
*Pay :$75/hr*
Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our patients. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including assessments, medication administration, and treatments
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using electronic health record systems such as Epic
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medication regimens, and self-care techniques
- Assist with pain management techniques and administer pain medications as needed
- Provide specialized care for geriatric patients, ensuring their unique needs are met
- Adhere to professional nursing standards and follow established protocols and procedures
- Perform airway management procedures as required
- Collaborate with case managers to coordinate patient care across different healthcare settings
Requirements:
- Valid Registered Nurse license in the state of IL
- Minimum of [2 years of experience in a Correcions
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, preferably Epic
- Knowledge of pain management techniques and experience in administering pain medications
- Familiarity with geriatric patient care best practices
- Strong understanding of nursing standards, protocols, and procedures
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Experience in ophthalmology or coding is a plus
