Description

In order to be considered for this position, the candidate must be serving permanently in the Clerical Associate title or must have filed for the Open Competitive Clerical Associate Exam # 3971 or be eligible under the 55a program.


Under general supervision, with latitude for independent initiative and judgement, the Clerical Associate L4 will perform responsible work in the Division's asset management program. Including the development, updating, and monitoring of databases used for tracking the progress of the Division's in-house construction contracts pertaining to the installation of Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS) pedestrian countdown signals (PCS), and new traffic signals. Prepare and generate detailed reports for senior management, monitor the database/tracker to identify any construction work order delays and estimated liquidated damage amounts for overdue work. The successful candidate will also be responsible for drafting complaint letter correspondence for ARTS, submitting letters into ARTS for completion and uploading documents into the Division's directory.


This position may be eligible for remote work up to 2 days per week, pursuant to the Remote Work Pilot Program agreed to between the City and DC37.


Hours/Shift: 35 Hrs./Mon-Fri/9AM-5PM

Minimum Qualifications

Qualification Requirements
A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and one year of satisfactory clerical experience.
Skills Requirement
Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 key strokes (20 words) per minute.


Preferred Skills
- Should be detail-orientated and accurate. - Have excellent verbal and strong writing/oral communication skills. - Must have strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.). - Ability to communicate effectively with others and collaborate in a team environment. - Keyboard familiarity with the ability to type at a minimum of 100 keystrokes (20 words) per minute. - Ability to work independently or collaborate as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
