Our enterprise-level client is seeking to add a Network Engineer to work onsite in Cleveland, NC. Please see below for full details:
*Job Notes:*
-6+ month contact / extensions and perm conversions possible with good performance.
-ASAP start date
-Onsite in Cleveland, NC
-Drug & Background required.
-Hours: 8am - 5pm (Mon - Fri) \*Flexibility is also expected\*
*Scope of Job:*
We are looking to hire an experienced network systems engineer to manage and maintain our enterprise systems and network. Ultimately, you will be responsible for the functional management of our network, systems, and the delegation of tasks, and the resolution of network and system issues.
To ensure success as a network systems engineer, you should have extensive experience working with enterprise networks, systems, high-level skills, and project management skills.
*Responsibilities:*
· Install and configure routing and switching devices following change control process
· Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve network related issues
· Monitor network performance proactively
· Verify and update network documentation
· Ensure network related policies and best practices are followed
· Engage with manufacturing areas to identify network requirements
· Understand security best practices and offer solutions to the stakeholders
· Test and upgrade network equipment to most recent stable version
· Liaison between IT/OT departments
· Gather communication requirements and translate to Firewall rule requests
· Closely working on network Information Security topics such as:
· Risk/Vulnerability/Asset Management
· Incident response/Backup & Recovery
· Change Management
*Qualifications:*
· CCNA certification or similar
· English language
· Deep understanding of the OSI model or TCP/IP stack
· Proven hands-on experience with Cisco gear (1+ years)
· Information Security knowledge
· Understanding Purdue PERA model/CPwE
· CCNP certification (desired)
· OT/ICS knowledge (desired)
