• Determining the tax basis of assets necessary to record acquisitions through analysis of historical tax filings.
• Researching tax laws and significant transactions, assessing impact on company, and drafting internal memos to document Company's tax positions.
• Reviewing subsidiary unit tax packages for both compliance and financial reporting.
• Assist in due diligence required in all acquisitions, mergers, and reorganizations.
• Staying current on significant new Federal and state tax legislation and related financial accounting developments about compliance and tax provision issues that may impact the Company.
