Overview
A highly specialized BMET with specialized training to perform specialized technical tasks involved in the installation, maintenance, servicing, modification, troubleshooting and calibration of complex clinical equipment of considerable difficulty like Life Support equipment or critical devices in high demand i.e. Ultrasound / Ventilators.
Responsibilities
Performs corrective maintenance on clinical equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions. Includes adjustments, repairs, and calibrations. -------------------------------------------------- Performs planned maintenance inspections on clinical equipment to ensure safe and effective operating conditions. Performs 100% planned maintenance on life support equipment within the first two weeks. Includes adjustments, repairs, and scheduled or corrective parts replacements necessary to complete these inspections. -------------------------------------------------- Performs appropriate documentation on corrective maintenance activities including those performed by outside service vendors. Documents work order time and non-productive time to ensure accountability of labor utilization. Maintains documentation and compliance with departmental standards for purchase order and parts management activities. -------------------------------------------------- Assists in, or coordinates, installation and acceptance testing of new equipment and special projects as assigned. Qualifications
