Trade up your current maintenance position for this opportunity in the Alexandria area! Doherty Staffing Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing company located in Alexandria, MN. We are seeking candidates for Maintenance Technician roles on the night shift. Hours for this position are 8:30pm-6:30am, Monday through Thursday. What you will do as a Maintenance Technician:

• Respond safely and efficiently to maintenance and repair needs to equipment and machinery
• Provide and promote a safe work environment throughout the entire facility
• Conduct all processes and procedures following department guidelines
• Coordinate and schedule repairs needed on equipment with the area supervisor
• Communicate the repair schedule of equipment with all affected employees in the specific work area
• Troubleshoot, plan and execute repairs
• Locate, identify, and prepare parts listed to complete repairs
• Provide support and training to less experienced team members when appropriate
• Write detailed preventative maintenance procedures and develop preventative maintenance schedules
• Document all repairs thoroughly

What you need to be a Maintenance Technician:

• High School diploma or equivalent degree
• Associate degree in Machine Tool Technology, Mechatronics or a related program preferred
• 1+ years of experience in PLC, CNC, machining, electrical, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, plumbing, or machine repair maintenance 
• Strong computer skills (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Ability to utilize the proper inspection equipment
• Basic math skills
• Ability to properly use appropriate measuring tools
• Ability to read and understand electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic schematics and blueprints for machined parts and equipment
