Job Description
General Description: Machinists are responsible for the installation, preventive maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all rotating equipment including pumps, compressors, and steam turbines; operate shop equipment. This work takes place in all areas of the refinery, outside exposed to the weather elements, heat, noise and vibration. The refinery processes involve hazardous and volatile materials under high temperatures and pressures. The work may take place at heights on vessels and towers and/or in confined spaces.
Assignment Duties:
Performing any and all work for which they are qualified, related to repairing, altering, fabricating, removing, installing, assembling, troubleshooting and servicing a wide variety of rotating processing equipment, such as pumps, compressors, motors, etc.
Performing close tolerance work on metal machining equipment such as lathes.
Maintaining and operating all equipment and tools to support and maintain required skills.
Sustaining a well-kept and orderly site in the performance of all work duties.
Working in a team environment and assisting other personnel in accomplishing tasks and major projects.
Must be able to wear SCBA during some aspects of the job.
Able to use our CMMS and capable of looking up spare parts, order stock material, insert condition reports, and add any asset notes as needed.

Physical Capabilities for outside facility walking, climbing, working at elevations Reaching/Carrying, Bending, Hand and Finger Dexterity, Pushing/Pulling, verbal and written communications in English, Visual Acuity, etc.
Work Hours:
Minimum 40 hours a week (8 hours a day) with frequent overtime, including weekends, Holidays and call outs.

Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Legally authorized to work in the United States on a regular full-time basis without restrictions.

Proficiency with MS Office
Must be familiar with the scope and limitations of the method in which certified and be able to perform job duties with little or no assistance
