Vaco is currently seeking a Nutanix Engineer to play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, and supporting Nutanix-based solutions for our clients. You'll be tasked with creating and maintaining Nutanix-based infrastructure to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. This position demands a deep understanding of Nutanix technology, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and clients.

Responsibilities:

• Design, configure, and deploy Nutanix-based hyper-converged infrastructure solutions tailored to client needs.
• Monitor and maintain Nutanix clusters to optimize performance, availability, and security, promptly resolving issues.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Nutanix solutions into existing environments.
• Document configurations, processes, and best practices for Nutanix-based systems.
• Continuously optimize Nutanix clusters for enhanced efficiency, scalability, and resource utilization.
• Implement and maintain security best practices for Nutanix infrastructure and data.
• Plan and execute Nutanix software upgrades and patches with minimal downtime and risk.
• Share knowledge and provide training on Nutanix technologies to team members and clients.
• Plan and execute application and virtual machine migrations from legacy virtualization platforms.

Who You'll Work With: As part of our hardware and software engineering team, you'll contribute to designing and developing hybrid-cloud compute platforms essential for maintaining critical business applications and processes at Cisco. Who You Are:

• Experienced technical leader in Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure and managing complex integrated systems.
• Excellent collaborator with the ability to lead, teach, and communicate advanced technical concepts.
• Talented engineer comfortable in high-pressure, large-scale enterprise environments.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Nutanix certification (e.g., Nutanix Certified Professional) preferred.
• Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing Nutanix-based hyper-converged infrastructure.
• Strong understanding of other virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
• Proficiency in networking, storage, and server technologies.
• Excellent problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Hybrid Cloud, Virtualization, and Container technologies.
• Familiarity with project tracking tools, version control systems, and CI/CD systems.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps operating models.
• Dedication to delivering quality customer support and leading technical initiatives.
