Hybrid to Schenectady N.Y.

The Compensation Analyst will support compensation processes within the Total Rewards HR Function and will actively contribute to the execution of key deliverables. The role's primary accountability will be to support the calculation and administration of all company sales incentives, including but not limited to-Commercial, Government Programs, and Recruitment. This position will partner with both Sales Leadership and Sales Operations to ensure payments are calculated correctly, delivered timely, adhere to plan rules, and include the appropriate data sources. Additionally, this role will provide administrative support and expertise to enterprise-wide bonus processing. This includes calculation, management of payments, and drafting of agreements. This individual will serve as the point person for support, administration, and delivery of MVP's annual short-term incentive program, which is offered to a subset leadership and individual contributors at MVP.

Another key accountability of this role will involve providing supplemental expertise and support for the Total Rewards' functionality within MVP's HR system. In this capacity, the individual will partner closely with other members of the Compensation team to provide expertise and administer the Compensation and Benefits components housed within MVP's HR system.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Education:
Bachelor's Degree required. Preferred concentration in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, and/or Business Analytics.

Minimum Experience:
  • Prior experience in data extraction, manipulation, and analysis with preference to analysis of HR related data. HR business experience helpful.

  • 2-3 years of professional level experience required with at least 1 year of experience in HR systems/compensation, Analytics, or Finance is preferred.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced MS Excel skills with ability to create and edit moderately complex spreadsheets including mathematical equations, sort data, link worksheets, create pivot tables and graphically present data.
  • Strong mathematic skills with the ability to calculate payments, generated percentages, and make predictions.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills; with the ability to plan, prioritize, and balance multiple priorities at a time, both short term and long term.
  • Strong proficiency in other MS Office tools (including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Excellent attention to detail with a focus on accuracy, precision, and process-orientation.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of HRIS software (Dayforce preferred).
  • SQL/VBA/Macro or HTML knowledge a plus.

Some travel including overnight stays periodically may be required.
