Job Description

As the Human Resource leader within Marshall, you will be a driving force behind all development, recruitment, engagement, and other HR related functions.

Position Purpose:

Responsible for all site human resources (HR) activities including benefits, associate growth and development, associate relations and staffing, and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) compliance. Interacts with all associates, PFG corporate office, PFG subsidiaries, and governmental and private agencies. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Assist managers in staffing all vacancies. Ensure all administrative items are completed according to established guidelines ( i.e., I-9

    forms, employment applications).
  • Assist in the training of management in application of policies and procedure. Assess training needs within the company and

    coordinate delivery of appropriate information (i.e., computer skills, management skills, etc.)
  • Function as an associate advocate by representing associates' issues to management as appropriate. Work with management team in resolving associate issues by investigating concerns and sharing resolution alternatives.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of company policies and procedures to include effective communications to associates.

    Advise management of fair and consistent application of all approved policies and procedures.
  • Ensure benefits are explained to new associates and their enrollment is processed at appropriate time. Ensure all company benefits are communicated and administered in a fair and consistent manner.
  • Oversee procedures and processes to maintain our compliance with Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) regulations. Work with Safety Committee and building maintenance team on compliance.
  • May supervise associates to include, but not limited to: staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience

2 - 4 Years Human Resources, Business Administration or

related area

Experience as a Human Resource Business Partner promoting best business decision practices.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelors: Human Resources, Business Administration or related area

4 - 6 Years Human Resources, Business Administration or related area within foodservice industry. Supervisory experience.

Experience acting as a Human Resource Business Partner within Foodservice organizations.

Experience building a candidate pool for next level positions from within the business.
