Overview









The Safety Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the safety of workers and visitors in the manufacturing facility. They patrol the facility to identify and report any potential safety hazards, such as spills, leaks, or faulty equipment. They also enforce safety policies and procedures and provide coaching to employees on safe work practices.















Responsibilities

1. Patrol the warehouse facility to identify and report safety hazards.
2. Enforce safety policies and procedures.
3. Provide coaching to employees on safe work practices.
4. Resolve safety issues directly where feasible.
5. Log, assign, and communicate safety action items where required.
6. Assist in coordination of emergency training and drills.
7. Assist in coordination of safety training programs.
8. Participate on the emergency responder/ first aid team.
9. Participate in safety committees and meetings.
10. Participate in incident investigations to determine root cause and corrective actions.
11. Conduct safety inspections, checklists, and audits.
12. Communicate information, needs, and concerns within the department and to individuals in other departments, as needed.
13. Performs any other duties as assigned by the management.
14. Develops and maintains a leadership structure to ensure solidified warehouse operations.















Qualifications









Education, Licenses, and Certifications
* BS/BA in industrial, mechanical or business administration, or a 4-year technical degree in related discipline.
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
* Experience with Safe Start or Move Smart programs is a plus.
* Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
* Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Strong attention to detail.


Years of Experience and Knowledge
* 1 ~ 3 years of Direct experience required.

Skills and Abilities
* Intermediate level Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Outlook); advanced level highly desired
* Intermediate level Microsoft Excel skills
* Intermediate level system(s) skills in
* 0% ~ 10% travel required.
