This position is responsible for supporting consultative analysis for Utilization Management/Affordability, reporting to the Vice President Product, UM. Clinical performance is charged with effectively implementing, monitoring, and executing on programs related to driving affordability, clinical quality activities across the UMR Third Party Administration business.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support enterprise initiatives and product management needs via analysis and consultations
  • Consults with business partners who deliver our services and establishes and monitors SLAs
  • Analyzes industry trends, customer needs, competitive threats, expansion opportunities and internal performance
  • Performs primary and secondary market research to generate strategic intelligence and insights
  • Delivers data-driven insights to support actionable strategic direction, prioritization and communication
  • Builds market and competitive intelligence reports, dashboards and tracking structures
  • Uses analytical skills to design, develop, program, maintain, and publish reports and reporting applications
  • Collaborates with IT and translate technical information into non-technical business explanations
  • Meet with business partners and gather requirements, offer recommendations and different options to meet their needs
  • Produces business, research or clinical intelligence for key stakeholders
  • Supports UM team with research and data analytics for UM, Digital platforms and TCOC Products E2E
  • Responsible for leading, training and mentoring an product consultant team, providing strategic guidance, task prioritization, implementing quality control protocols, ensuring operational excellence
  • Supervise dedicated other product analyst consultants
  • Manage internal and client expectations on regular analytic deliverables as well as ad-hoc analytic projects
  • Collaboration with clinical program leaders to develop and maintain the key performance metrics used to monitor quality, compliance, and performance outcomes by department
  • Builds and maintains direct relationships with system vendors and acts as primary service contact for any communications on ongoing data issues with system vendors

Required Qualifications:

  • Registered Nurse
  • 5+ years of experience managing people
  • 5+ years Aerial experience
  • 5+ years process document development experience
  • 5+ years of experience working in a complex matrixed work environment with competing priorities
  • 3+ years SQL, Power BI and/or equivalent experience
  • UMR experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years Tableau experience
  • 2+ years Snowflake experience

California, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, or Washington Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $104,700 to $190,400 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, UnitedHealth Group offers benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
