*Position: “RN Oncology Infusion Clinic*
*Location: Oklahoma City, 73104*
*Duration: 3 months (Possible Ext)*
*Days Per Week: 5 days*
*Hours Per Day: 08 hrs/day*
*Duties and Responsibilities:*
Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.
*Essential Responsibilities:*

* Chemotherapy and Administration and Consultation: Administers PO, SC injections, chemotherapy drugs, and other medications as ordered by physician: consults with other medical personnel and may provide expert information about chemotherapy, side effects, etc.: provides a variety of assistance to physicians.
Assumes responsibility for clinic specific assignments.
* Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments, notes all changes in physician orders on assigned patients.
* Assists physician during conscious sedation patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatment.
* Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
* Administers medication as prescribed. Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products Delivers patient care competently.
* Interacts with family and patient in sharing care plan while in the clinic, time of discharge, and continued care via phone triage.
Informs patient and family of clinic procedures.
* Patient Education: Provides chemotherapy related educational information to patients, family, etc.: answers inquiries and provides guidance as appropriate.
* Makes referral regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.
* Delegates tasks to support staff.
* Patient Follow Up: Schedules patient follow-up activities related to their treatment and assists with coordination of care by obtaining referrals and completing phone calls with the patients after their clinic visits.
*Educational Requirements:* Graduate from an accredited school school of nursing required. Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Nursing Board Approved Program preferred.
*License Required:*
· RN license
· Basic Life Support (AHA)
· ONS Chemo/Biotherapy Certificate
· Covid Certificate
· 2 Professional Reference
