Wound Care Nurse

We are looking for a experienced Wound Care Nurse (RN) to join an SNF in Queens, NY.

Position Overview:

As a Wound Care Nurse you will play a crucial role in the well-being and recovery of our patients. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the wound care needs of patients under your care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in wound management, excellent clinical skills, and a passion for providing high-quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough wound assessments and collaborate with the healthcare team to develop individualized care plans.
Administer and monitor advanced wound care treatments, including but not limited to wound vacs, dressings, and debridement procedures.
Educate patients and their families on proper wound care techniques and prevention strategies.
Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting care provided and progress made.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and incorporate evidence-based practices into daily routines.

Qualifications:

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in NY.
Certification in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Nursing (WOCN) is highly desirable.
Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Wound Care Nurse in a healthcare setting.
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Salary:

$110,000 - $120,000
