IMMEDIATE OPENING for a Full time Registered Nurse (Mental/Behavioral Health) to support at the Patrick Air Force Base, FL.

*Education:*
* Associates Degree in Nursing.
* Graduate from a college or university accredited by National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC), or The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE).
* Shall be certified or certification eligible by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse
* Certifications: Must be certified/certification eligible by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse.
* Experience: A minimum of three-year experience as a registered nurse in an ambulatory or inpatient setting with the ability to perform nursing assignments of moderate to severe difficulty and experience with acutely and chronically ill adults.

Must have at least 36 months of total nursing experience in a direct patient care clinical setting. Experience in mental health is desired but not required.

Must possess a working knowledge of mental health, human growth and development, and pathophysiology of disease processes, as they apply to the care environment for all ages of the spectrum from adult to geriatrics.

*Licensure:* Current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse.

*SPECIFIC TASKS. *Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:
* As a member of the Primary Care Behavioral Health team, the Registered Nurse Behavioral Health assists Primary Care Managers (PCM) and Internal Behavioral Health Consultants (IBHC), optimizes efficiency and effectiveness of treatment by facilitating services between PCMs, IBHCs, and their patients.
* Monitors patients prescribed psychotropic medications by their PCM for conditions of depression and anxiety disorders (e.g., Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder - PTSD (diagnosis list is not all-inclusive).
* Monitors and facilitates adherence to treatments, provides education, coordinates care, maintains data registries, and performs the full scope of clinical nursing in the execution of primary care behavioral health services.
* Coordinates patient care through the continuum to achieve optimal health outcomes, quality, and cost effectiveness. Assesses, coordinates, facilitates, and delivers care for adult patients relevant to the practice environment and procedures performed.
* Establishes a nursing plan of care that effectively applies core disease management principles to mental health conditions and includes: 1) assessment and identification of target populations; b) implementation and execution of Clinical Practice Guidelines or standards; c) collaboration and coordination of activities with other healthcare members; and d) promotion and education of patient self-management actions.
