Responsibilities

Brentwood Hospital is looking for a dynamic Counselor / Social Worker (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, PLPC)! The Counselor / Social Worker provides quality case management and psychotherapeutic services to the patient population and their families. The counselor also serves as a member of interdisciplinary team supporting the organization's treatment program and philosophy and assures the delivery of quality treatment to all patients.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Provides individual and family process-oriented therapies as well as conducts educational and other didactic sessions for patients and family members using various professional treatment modalities.
  2. Documents patient history and identifies preliminary issues for treatment focus by interviewing the patient and their family member

Qualifications

This opportunity is available to individuals who meet the following requirements:

  • Education/Experience: Master's Degree in social work, counseling or related field. Licensure by the LASWBE / LSBLPC required. Experience in inpatient or outpatient mental health setting preferred. Knowledge of acute adult psychological disorders; advanced principals of abnormal psychology as specifically applied to adults; familiarity with follow-up resource services available to adults; skills in conducting marital and family group therapy.
  • Hours: Monday-Friday day shift
