Job Description

At Soar Autism Center, we are committed to offering a comprehensive suite of services that enrich the lives of children with autism and their families. Through our interdisciplinary approach, we emphasize early engagement, holistic support, and tailor-made developmental-behavioral programs that cater to the individual needs of each child and their family. We follow evidence-based, play-centered methods based on the Early Start Denver Model.

As a Child Autism Specialist, you'll have the remarkable chance to contribute directly to the developmental growth of young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This role works in collaboration with a team of experts, including Board-Certified Behavior Analysts, Speech Therapists, and Occupational Therapists. It is an entry-level role and does not require prior certification; we provide complete training for this position.

The role is a great fit for:

  • Recent college graduates looking to jump start their career: Psychology graduates, special education graduates, child development grads, teaching degree holders, or similar

  • Anyone with childcare experience and who loves kids: Child care providers, paraprofessionals, nannies, babysitters, preschool teachers, day care workers, Montessori teachers or assistants, tutors, substitute teachers, childcare volunteers, Sunday School teachers, or similar

  • Frontline healthcare workers looking for a change: Home health aides, behavioral health techs, psychiatric aides, child life specialists, or others

  • Encore career workers: anyone looking for a fresh start in a mission-driven organization supporting kids!

Responsibilities

  • Offer one-on-one developmental and behavioral support to children aged 2-6 in a clinic environment, guided by science-backed, naturalistic therapeutic methods

  • Implement intervention plans crafted by expert clinicians in behavior analysis, speech, and occupational therapy

  • Team up with the child's healthcare professionals to provide consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

  • Previous experience with children aged 2-6, ideally in a professional capacity

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Computer and tablet literacy

  • Reliable transportation and punctuality are essential, as well as an ability to meet specific physical demands of the job

  • Preference for college graduates or people pursuing a college degree

What We Offer

  • $20.50-$26.00/hour with regular bonus and promotion opportunities. All staff members are considered every 3 months for a raise or promotion

  • Comprehensive health benefits, including medical, dental, and vision plans

  • Student loan repayment and tuition reimbursement benefits

  • Priority access for in-network mental health support through our partnership with Sol Mental Health

  • Opportunities for career exploration in Behavior Analysis, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, and other roles

  • A guaranteed minimum of 30 hours per week for full-time roles

  • Supportive training for RBT certification and ABA therapy best practices

  • Tons of support from our multi-disciplinary team

  • A collaborative and fun environment where every team member's contribution is valued

Join us in an enriching, team-oriented environment committed to delivering exceptional care for children!
