Exciting New Incentives:

Loan Repayment Assistance Program up to $20,000 Lifetime: The Imaging Loan Repayment Assistance Program provides financial support to our Mercy Imaging co-workers in a 24X7 hospital based eligible position who are in a .4 FTE and above, working 32 hours or more per pay period. The program offers monthly payments made directly to the loan servicer up to the amount of $370 per month and up to $20,000 for a lifetime maximum.

Overview:

The Technologist is to be ARDMS/ARRT registered or eligible and have a well-rounded knowledge of the procedures performed at Mercy Hospital. Cross-training into other modalities will be a requirement. The technologist is responsible for maintaining the Ultrasound room and equipment. They will work with the Radiologist and Manager to set times and protocols for each exam done in the department. They will communicate needs in equipment and supplies to the Manager and make recommendations for future needs in budget planning for the Radiology Department.

Qualifications:
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Radiology Program.
  • Licensure: ARRT and ARDMS registered. State licensure required in the applicable state of practice. Must maintain a current license and registration in field of modality(ies). RVT Registry or eligible for registry. Must complete registry within 90 days of hire.
  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical environment needed.
  • Certifications: CPR certified upon hire or complete trainingduring the orientation period. Required certifications must be current before being assigned to care for patients independently.
  • Other: Must demonstrate human relations and communication skills. Ability to work in a variety of departments and ability to work well with others. Must be able to trouble shoot equipment repairs and problems. Must be able to identify and rapidly resolve problems, which may affect patient care. Use of desk top computers, copiers, faxes, and general office equipment.
  • Preferred Experience: Prefer previous experience working with or relating to physicians. Multi-modality training and knowledge of Echocardiograms is a plus.
