As a Cardiovascular Invasive Registered Nurse, you will provide safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and caring way while incorporating differences into the provision of care. To help achieve our mission, you will ensure improvement in practice settings by assuming responsibility for self-development in life long learning. Providing direction and guidance to others regarding practice while serving as a resource, preceptor and mentor is required. Incorporating data and information to continuously improve care and practice while enhancing outcomes is expected. Your ability to assist the physician with diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the IR lab with the preparation of the sterile field, selection and preparation of instruments and supplies, manipulation of cardiac catheters, guidewires etc. and injection of contrast media and other medication as directed by the physician is of vital importance.
*Additional Requirements:*
* Work schedule: 8 hour shifts M-F with an on-call schedule that rotates with other RNs.
* Education: BSN or ADN (If ADN: must complete/obtain BSN within 24 months of start date)
* Experience: 1 year of RN experience required. Previous experience in an Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, Interventional Radiology is preferred. ICU, ED and Progressive Cardiac Care will also be considered.
* *Strongly prefer candidates with 2 or more years in critical care nursing*
* Certification: BLS from the American Heart Association & VA RN license
