University Behavioral Center, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

POSITION SUMMARY

Responsible for supervising all clinical programming and unit activities for assigned floors/units. Supervision includes, but is not limited to, clinical programming, interactions with patients as well as implementing new programs and in-services as needed. Acts as a mentor to staff on the assigned floor/unit(s) and trains other staff on policies and procedures. Provides on-going supervision, training, co-facilitation, and oversight of clinical activities within the milieu. Contributes to interviewing, recruitment, and making hiring recommendations. Ensures provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, and activities of daily living. Conduct patient safety environmental rounds on units. Assess the quality of our clinical programing to patients. Assists with the design of programming in accordance with standards and guidelines. Leads implementation of clinical programming to patients and adherence to program fidelity. Assures that clinical program manuals are current. Assists in monitoring for compliance with documentation standards via chart audits and direct observation of milieu staff. Clinical Program Manager is responsible for coverage in the event of staff call offs, resignations, etc., to assure maintenance of quality clinical services, in alignment with the Joint Commissiong and other accrediting organizations. Participates in rotating AOC schedule to provide administrative support/coverage for the entire hospital as designated by leadership.

Qualifications

JOB SPECIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. The specifications listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and ability to meet the minimum requirements for this position.

Education: Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field required. Master's degree in social work, Counseling, Psychology, or related field preferred.

Experience: Minimum of three years experience working with psychiatric patient populations and management experience preferred.

Additional Requirements: Successful completion of CPR and CPI training (or equivalent). Ability to work flexible hours as needed to support programming and supervision of program adherence. Ability to work occasional overtime as needed.

Knowledge: Must possess knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationship processes, age specific growth and elopement, limit setting and behavior management, leadership skills, diagnostic understating behaved behaviors often exhibited within the milieu and CPR training.
