Scripps Health Administrative Services supports our five hospitals and 19 outpatient facilities, which treat half a million patients annually through 2,600 affiliated physicians.

This is a full time salary position 4 days per week. With a 10 hour shift 930-2000, and flexibility to cover leadership with administrative call responsibilities on rotating weekends.

This position is eligible for a New Hire Bonus up to $8.5K, and the yearly Supervisor incentive compensation plan.

As a Supervisor of the 12 suite Operating Room you will work with the OR team to ensure the nursing practice reflects established standards of care and practice and a culture that promotes patient safety. Under the general direction of the Patient Care Manager, shares leadership responsibilities for the nursing unit, including managing daily staffing plans. Ensures appropriate and timely use of bed placement technology (Teletracking) and adherence to care processes for bed placement/patient transfer/patient transport/room cleaning and patient discharge. Ensures the safe transition of patients thru the continuum of care to include active participation of nursing staff in planning and coordinating patient care, and direct hand-off to next appropriate level of care. You will have a knowledge of multiple service lines including ortho, neuro, and urology.

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

·         Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)

·         Must remain in original department/specialty

·         Must remain in original Job Title

·         Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Required Qualifications: 

• CA RN License

• Two years OR RN experience,

• One year in a leadership role.  

• Excellent skills in communication, problem-solving, team development, planning and follow-through.

•  Ability to exercise the authority and responsibility for assigned services based on the scope of the organization and complexity of patient care. Graduate of an accredited program.   

• Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Provider and all competencies/certifications required of the charge RN on the unit.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5 years OR experience

• 2 years leadership experience

•  BSN and/or certification in area of specialty if applicable.
