Description

Responsible for developing, implementing, and managing a portfolio of Medicare products/programs. Develops and manages competitive offerings by overseeing market research and regulatory requirements, defining product requirements/features, designing the overall customer experience, and managing the product performance life cycle to support growth and retention. Identifies critical topics for Medicare product strategy and assists in leading efforts to drive decision-making, bringing clarity to sometimes ambiguous situations. May interact with regulatory bodies.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Medicare product and benefit SME for assigned products
  • Assist with annual product readiness and communications/trainings to internal operational departments
  • Participate in peer review of mandated and marketing documents (EOC, ANOC, SB, sales brochures, etc.)
  • Perform ongoing market competitive analyses, researching and analyzing Medicare market trends and monitor local market competitors and make recommendations for product improvements
  • Provide ongoing service area analyses and identify potential scenarios and/or solutions that enable the organization to achieve its growth and retention goals
  • Facilitate cross-functional meetings with internal and external stakeholders
  • May support annual bid cycle and CMS PBP submissions
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in related field
  • 5 years of related work experience beyond degree
  • Experience managing or working with Medicare products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Medicare Supplement plans, managing rate increases and working with a third-party administrator
  • Strong analytical skills using Excel, pivot tables, reporting software (i.e., Tableau)
  • Strong attention to detail

Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of all Medicare plan types including Medicare Supplement plan
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Self-starter
  • Ability to learn new systems quickly
  • Ability to collaborate with internal partners and external vendors
  • Detail orientated, strong organization skills, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to quickly adapt to change and work independently
  • Experience in the conduct of market research, competitive analysis, and the development of business cases to drive decisions
  • Exceptional project management skills
  • Excellent interpersonal communication skills with proven ability to establish and maintain strong relationships at multiple levels of an organization

This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to a designated office for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $75,300 -$129,000. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
