What your responsibilities will be:

Requirements: Due to the very nature of the responsibilities of STNA’s, they often end up overseeing the healthcare needs of their patients to ensure they follow their doctors’ orders. As such, there are many different duties a home health aide could be required to perform, including:

Activities of Daily Living: Bathing / Grooming/Hygiene
Assisting the patient in an out of bed and/or transferring to or from a wheelchair.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Kinnser EMR Software
Flexibility, Multi-tasker, Prioritize
Keeping accurate records of home visits, including travel time, time with the patient, and what services were performed during the visit.
Physical Strength - Ability to handle physical workload.
Providing basic personal care, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
Taking the patient’s vital signs and recording them.

Desired Character Traits:

Previous experience in Home Care preferred.

Ability to build rapport with in-home patients.
Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

1. Meets the training requirements in accordance with state and federal laws.

2. At least 18 years of age.

3. Ability to read and follow written instructions and document care given.

4. Self-directing with the ability to work with little direct supervision.

5. Empathy for the needs of the ill, injured, frail and the impaired.

6. Possess and maintains current CPR certification.

7. Demonstrates tact, patience and good personal hygiene.

8. Licensed driver with automobile that is insured in accordance with Organization requirements and is in good working order.
