Responsibilities

We are excited to present an exceptional opportunity for professionals who are eager to gain valuable experience and make a significant impact as a Technology Auditor. This assignment offers a unique chance for results-driven individuals to immerse themselves in dynamic work, while benefiting from a high-influence environment and exposure to internal business partners through the executive leadership level. Technology Auditors gain proven experience influencing the enterprise on a broad portfolio of technologies impacting critical State Farm business processes across higher risk topics. Our roles provide opportunities to gain hands on experience in many disciplines including risk management, data analytics, control testing, and solutions development. The ability to understand how technology and business processes work together to support State Farm's strategy is required to be successful.

Day in the Life

  • The Technology Auditor will join a talented agile team of peers responsible for testing risks and controls related to key IT applications that drive core business processes within State Farm.
  • The Technology Auditor applies full-stack technology acumen to test the security, privacy, and efficiency of technologies implemented across the enterprise.
  • The Technology auditor is expected to maintain a level of expertise in various technologies and business topics through continuous learning and development.
  • A successful Technology auditor is viewed as a trusted advisor by direct business partners and effectively demonstrates strong critical thinking and business judgement through their verbal and written communication and documentation.



Qualifications

Required Professional Experience:

  • Ability to examine IT controls, evaluate the design and operational effectiveness, and determine exposure to risk
  • Exercises critical thinking and learning agility to provide objective advice, guidance and recommendations to a variety of business partners
  • Understanding of risk, information technology, information security, and business acumen
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience working in and consistently delivering results within a team
  • Demonstrated commitment to learning new technology/processes
  • Current on business applications, trends in IT, and experience evaluating/implementing new innovative IT solutions
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts to audiences with varying levels of acumen and experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior internal audit or similar experience focusing on technical or information security risks to any degree
  • Understanding of key software development principles - object oriented design, continuous delivery (CI/CD), source control, test automation, incident response, and/or penetration testing
  • Familiarity with AWS/cloud platforms and services
  • Ability to read, write and review code (Python, Java, JavaScript, SQL. etc.) is a plus
  • Professional certifications or working towards certification such as CISA, CIA, AWS, or Salesforce is a plus
  • Degree in Computer Sciences, Engineering, Business, or related field (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)

REMOTE: Qualified candidates residing more than 50 miles from a hub location listed below may be considered for 100% remote work arrangements based on where a candidate currently resides or is currently located.

HYBRID: Qualified candidates residing within 50 miles radius of a hub location listed below will be classified as a Hybrid employee. In a hybrid work arrangement, you will be able to work remotely most of the time with in-office expectations of 1 per quarter. This could consist of a multi-day event per quarter depending on your leader and business need. Any business travel associated with your in office expectation would be at your own expense. Your manager will share additional details with you regarding your departments approach and what it means for you.

For Colorado & Washington State candidates: Potential Salary Range: $99,660 - $184,800 | Bonus potential up to 18%

For CA, NYC and CT candidates: Potential Salary Range: $113,250 - $210,000 | Bonus potential up to 18%

For Hawaii candidates: Potential Salary Range: $113,250 - $198,750 | Bonus potential up to 18%
